We’re building a great Foundation.....
- More than $228,500.00 have been awarded in grants and scholarships.
- One of our major fund items has been the Advanced Placement initiative, resulting in
vertical teams in the core areas (K-12). These teams have provided opportunities to form
curriculum alignment, common language and collaborative relationships among teachers
at all levels.
- North Gwinnett High School students passed 1010 AP exams, saving parents at least $700,000.00 in college tuition.
- Newsweek Magazine's "Excellence in Equity Index" ranks North Gwinnett #2 in the state of Georgia and one of the top schools in the US for five years in a row - climbing from #701 in 2005 to #215 in 2009.
- At least 90% of NGHS seniors attend post secondary institutions. These include:
- University of Georgia
- Georgia Tech
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Harvard
- Yale
- Princeton
- William and Mary
- Stanford
- Air Force Academy
- West Point
- Coast Guard Academy
- Five members of the class of 2009 received appointments to the service academies.
- The NGHS class of 2009 received nearly $12,5000,000.00 in scholarships.
- The class of 2009 performed 38,000 hours of community service.
